WoodsCrest Log Homes is the premier builder
of custom handcrafted, quality Log homes. Our beautiful Log packages have
been re-assembled throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. As of
May 2005, we have designed and delivered over 250 log homes in Colorado
alone! Our log yard is located in British Columbia, Canada.
Our wall logs are massive, full-length Engelmann Spruce, Douglas Fir,
Pine or Western Red Cedar logs with a 12"-14" average mean
diameter, with larger or smaller logs available. All live cut logs are
winter cut, air-dried for six to twelve months and hand-peeled. Upon
request, we can also provide dead standing logs. We are a member in
good standing with TPI (Timber Products Inspection, Inc.) and provide
grading and stamping of every log in our packages. We use in excess
of 70% "Premium" graded logs (the highest grade) throughout
our log packages as opposed to most of our competitors who reserve the
costly premium logs only for the structural components. We offer two hand-peeled log finishes, bare peeled, and skip peeled. We offer several corner notches: Overscribe Saddle which is our standard notch, Norwegian Shrink-Fit, Interscribed Flared Ends, Saddle, Dovetail and Diamond wedge. Styles include, Scribe-Fit, Hand-Hewn square logs and Full-chink. We also build beautiful log "Post and Beam" and Timber Frame homes. These homes have the same quality and artisanship as our stacked log homes yet allow you additional flexibility. You can choose to combine log items such as posts, beams, trusses, floor joists, stairs, rails and purlins with conventional interior and exterior finishes. At WoodsCrest Log Homes, we provide personalized services to ensure that the process of building your custom log home will be a pleasurable experience. Our In-House Design Team will work closely with you from concept to completion. We will produce a design that will not only fit your lifestyle and budget but also incorporate all your land's benefits. After your approval of concept drawings, a Free Quote is provided, detailing the log package price and breaking out all the components included in your Log Shell Package. Our In-House drafters, using a CAD system, will create your preliminary Blueprints, and upon your approval, a full set of working Blueprints. We also have at our disposal a Licensed Architect for large, complex or commercial designs. Since our Custom Log Homes are built simultaneously to site and foundation work, construction time is greatly reduced over a conventionally built home. It typically takes from ten to twelve weeks to construct a log shell at WoodsCrest Log Homes' construction yard. Freight from Canada will be arranged by us, as well as providing one person from WoodsCrest Log Homes to supervise the log re-assembly, typically taking one day per 1,000 sq. ft.! After the log shell has been re-assembled, your contractor can finish your home. A "log specialist" is not required, as the log work is done at WoodsCrest Log Homes' log yard and we provide a copyrighted, detailed seventy page Construction Manual. We can also supply you with our beautiful custom Window and Doors made specifically for our log homes. In addition, we also offer Pre-Framed Gable ends and Log Siding. We can arrange for delivery of Sikkens stain products and installed Structural Insulated Roof Panels at below retail cost. These products and services enable your log home to be at a "dried-in" stage in just a few weeks and greatly compliment your WoodsCrest Log Home.
